A Cookie Video with a Cherry on Top!

Posted by Anne Yorks on Saturday, May 2, 2015

Most of my cookie projects start with a sketch.

Not only is sketching is a great way to plan the design, but it is also helpful in planning icing colors and how much to mix.

From the sketch to the cookie...here's how it turned out!

Does that sundae cookie cutter look familiar? Yep, it's my favorite swirly cupcake cookie cutter! I have used it in so many ways, and this one might be my favorite! This cutter is available here in my shop!

Are you ready for the video? Here it is...

This video uses three icing consistencies. Piping (soft peak royal icing) for the outlining with tip #2, 10-second royal icing for the flooding, and 20-sec icing for the chocolate sauce and cherry! Would you like to learn more about royal icing? There is a video in our tutorial shop http://www.flourboxbakery.com/collections/tutorials. And a blog post here - http://www.flourboxbakery.com/blogs/tidbits/12274693-royal-icing-recipe-and-tips.

I hope you enjoyed this fun ice cream project!!! Happy Decorating!
