BOO! and White Penn State Cookies

Posted by Anne Yorks on Thursday, October 27, 2011

I'm a big Penn State fan. I think it's in my blood. My parents went to Penn State. My brother. My uncle. My husband. I'm hopeful that my kids will go to Penn State. And there is no greater time of year in Happy Valley than the fall because it's football season! And maybe now that it seems our quarterback controversy has finally been settled, we can enjoy the game.

I am so thrilled to be going to my first and only game of the season this Saturday (usually I make it to most games, but since I just had a baby, I've been home teaching my new little bean the best PSU cheers).

So in the spirit of Penn State and the Halloween weekend, I have made Penn State BOO! and WHITE cookies for my tailgate party.

I love this BOO cookie cutter and it was perfect for my BOO and WHITE theme.

We play Illinois and according to the greatest football coach (and soon to be the outright winning-ist coach of all time), they are going to be a tough match. I am planning that our Nittany Lions will put them in their place. R.I.P. Illinois.

A cute little blue and white bat. And can you see my polka dot pumpkin in the background? That little guy was fun to make. I bet he'll be even more fun to eat!

I also added a blue and white spider web and candy corn to this spirited Penn State cookie collection.

Let's go State! Beat the Illini!

For the glory,
