Penn State All-Sports Museum 10th Anniversary

Posted by Anne Yorks on Sunday, April 29, 2012

Life in a college town (or in our case, just outside of town), is a cornucopia of activities and opportunities. I never saw myself settling in Happy Valley following graduation, but now I can't imagine anything different for me or my family.

Just today, I took the girls to a Penn State softball game.

Their new stadium is gorgeous. We had lunch and stayed until everyone got a little antsy and then we went across the street to the new Penn State Arboretum.

I enjoyed the budding of spring. Cecelia enjoyed her stroll.

And Grace had a blast testing out her new Barbie two-wheeler.

But, I know, I know...you're not here to look at my family photos. You're here for the cookies right? Ok, here we go. There are a lot of pictures in this blog post...so I'll see you at the bottom, ok?

Recently, I had the pleasure of 'cookie-ing' each Penn State varsity sport for the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the Penn State All-Sports Museum.

I have been to the museum many times. It's a destination for when we have out-of-town guests for the weekend. Whether or not you love sports or Penn State, I guarantee it's impossible not to walk through the museum and get enthralled with the history of student/athlete life. It's fascinating when you think of all the athletes that have represented Penn State over the years, all while balancing their academics. It's also pretty cool to see the evolution of sports over the years.

For this project, I made 200 cookies representing the museum and all 17 varsity sports. The Penn State Bakery provided those yummy sprinkle cookies on the tables.

Here's a closer view of each sport's cookie. I'll let you know which was my favorite! People ask me all the time where I find my cookie cutters. I find them all over, but many of these cutters came from www.coppergifts.com. They are amazing!
