A little birdie is turning one! My little birdie that is! My sweet, sweet Cecelia is celebrating her first birthday today! I cannot believe a year has passed already! It's been the best year of my life! Two girls are definitely better than one!
Since Cecelia's nursery is decorated with a songbird theme. I decided to make her party a little birdie birthday. The invitations had sparkly pink birds and of course I had to make some sweets for the special celebration too!
I originally planned to make birdcages for the party favors...but then I got this sweet idea to put birthday decorations on a cute little pink and white birdhouse. That pennant banner is inspired by Oh! Sugar Events. Her balloon cookies are our-of-this-world amazing!!
Here are the little birdie houses on the shelf in Cecelia's nursery!!
And of course I made a super cute little birdie that lives in the cute birdhouse.
I love cupcakes and Natalie from Palestine Cookies shared these bamboo forks with me. What a perfect way to make an edible cupcake topper. My family was super excited to have cookie toppers on the cupcakes too. I almost left them plan, like the middle 'E' in Cecelia above. But then I added a decorative border and I really think it made the cookies pop!
I spelled out Cecelia's name and then did a bunch of 1 cookie/cupcake toppers.
Here is a close view of the cookie cupcake topper.
And here is the little birdie enjoying her first ever cupcake! She looks like a little birdie in this photo. I just love her to pieces.
I'm off to celebrate with her...have a sweet day,
Anne
