How to Decorate a Hula Girl Cookie

Posted by Anne Yorks on Wednesday, July 8, 2015

It's summer and that means it is time for luau parties!

A good friend of mine hosted a luau party to kick off the start of summer! I offered to host a little decorating party for my friends so we could decorate cookies for the party!

They are so colorful and bright and we had a blast making them! What a fun girls night!

For fun, I made a video of how to decorate the hula girl cookie - she was my favorite from this set!

I didn't have a Hula girl cookie cutter, so can you guess what I used? I wanted BIG hair and room for a flower!

It's a teddy bear, with the ear trimmed.

This cutter is available here in the online shop!

My favorite part of the hula girl is her skirt! I used a tip #44 to create that grass effect. It's available here online.

I also enjoyed making this tiki face. I used a onesie cutter to create this cookie! It was perfect!

We made 60 cookies. I was worried there would be too many leftovers. They were gone a half an hour after putting them on the dessert table!! It was crazy! Of course, there were a lot of kids at the party!

I hope you enjoyed this video!

Have a sweet summer!
