This past weekend I hosted a sports themed decorating class. Eight students joined me to make the following cookie projects.
I really enjoyed this group! We had several students from PA, DE, NY and OH!!
Since it was a sports theme, I decided to be a coach rather than a decorating instructor. To warm up for the class projects, we had a few fun competitions.
Ribbon by Design donated a beautiful spool of Mother's Day ribbon. Students had to build 4 boxes and tie 4 bows to win.

There were some speedy decorators in this class!
After we were warmed up...it was time to get to work.
We created a royal icing stencil project. 
We also discussed icing dimension and layers with this football character cookie.
Each student practiced airbrush shading with this basketball project.
And we working on this amazing football design, discussing icing areas and tip sizes.
We discussed an easy way to make wood grain on a cookie.
The students were great sports!
One new aspect to the class was an upgraded, full-color project handout.
